I will not say that the mindset is always to blame. There are three kinds of poor: 1. the ones who have a poor mindset 2. the ones who have been pressed up by the system and can have no mindset at all. 3. Those who are slothful, regardless of their mindset.
Now, most of the time, we get to listen that a person is poor due to a poor mindset. But what about the mindset of the ones who say that?
They start by telling you the mindset of what really is the cause of being poor. Then, they try to sell you books and courses about how to get out of that poor mentality. They make millions selling those junk, get-rich-quick schemes – This is the “make money outta them” mindset.
The fact of matter is that mindset definitely matters, but there is a difference between having a poor mindset, having a poor mindset but inability to implement it, and getting pressed by the system, having no mindset at all.
Here in this article, we are talking about the first group; the ones who have a poor mindset, and some ways for them to get poorer are poorer.
This is how to get poor:
- Be Unreasonable and Stubborn
As long as you have the victim mentality, you will just keep thinking like a victim and thus, have no motivation to do anything about it. You cannot be reasonable with yourself if you are unreasonable in the reality of life. Thinking is just one-half of the deal. Implementing is another. But when you are unreasonable, you will never be able to realize that you are being unreasonable. This is just the playing role of a victim.
- Be Unclear and Ambiguous
If you keep yourself vague, undecided, and hazy on what you want in life, you will be able to come up with whatever explanations to justify yourself for not doing anything about it. This is when you know that it is obvious that if you have been like this since day 1, then it will continue to be like this until your deathbed. Thus, no point in blaming anyone but yourself. So why waste time blaming when you can get straight to work? Better late than never anyway…
- Spend what you earn
If you are fond of spending, keep it up. After all, we need people like you to keep the economy going. It is a good thing that you earned money with all your hard work. Instead of saving and investing it, just spend it. This will help boost the economy. More people like you are needed for our economy to be able to grow and fulfill its purpose of giving us all jobs and wealth. If you start investing, your money might grow significantly, and that is certainly not worth it.
- Do not learn anything new
This is my favorite because this makes sense if we find out why people are poor in the first place, which is the person’s mindset itself; their inability to think right, and their unwillingness to do anything about it. People just don’t try to learn anything new. They keep going on and on, without being able to think outside the box. They stick to whatever they learned from their dad or mom, without asking themselves whether it is applicable today, and that’s really easy. So why try/learn anything else?
- Expect other people to give you what you want
Planning on getting rich or earning your way up? Better think again. The rich are not giving away their money on a silver platter to whoever wants it. They need something in return of course. If you expect others to motivate you to get rich, you are dumb. They might start seeking for you, but they will not give to you. If they do, it will be out of pity, and not as a reward.
- Gamble
One of the best ways to lose all of your money is gambling. This is just another way of expecting others to give to you, in several ways. You do know that the house pays its employees and still gets a reasonable profit out of you. Thus, this one is the easiest, and probably the most obvious way to get poor.
- Get into Debt
Getting into debt is the best way to “stay” poor. Not only it maintains your mindset of being a victim, it also maintains your poor lifestyle. After all, you can borrow as much as you want, and pay them back whenever you are able to get back. If you are having a hard time paying it back, don’t worry, you can still work till your 70s and pay them back. There are a ton of options with debt.
Key points:
-Gambling is the best way to get poor.
-Debt is the best way to “stay” poor.
-Doing nothing is the easiest way to “stay” poor and stay that way.
-Expecting to learn “how to get rich” from the rich is dumb.
-Being unsettled and unsettled about what you want in life is confusing, but eventually leads to poverty.
COVID 19
The number of people living on less than $1.90 per person per day — had been gradually declining for almost 25 years. COVID-19 created a disturbance to the trend in 2020, which led to an increase in poverty.
Poor households suffered particularly during the pandemic because of decreased income, job losses, and work stoppages. The severely hit groups included women, young people, and low-wage and informal employees, particularly those residing in urban areas.
In this case, why do you think only “poverty” increased? Why did the rich people not get less rich?
Well, one of the most effective ways of solving a problem is creating something worse than the problem itself, then solving it and getting even more out of it. Regardless of who created it, the ones with a rich mindset utilized COVID-19 to make money out of you. Now, I am not talking about selling masks and sanitizers, that would be too obvious.
The ones who were hurt the most were the poor people residing in urban areas, as mentioned above. I need not explain the rest.
Bottom line
One who refuses to believe in the reality of life cannot enjoy living. Being reasonable and realistic helps change your mind and your life. This was how we were able to start living in the first place, and yet we still are not that good at it… Satisfaction is the key to poverty; even if you are unhappy, you will still be contented with what you have. Why? Because it is enough for you. You were never hungry in the first place, and are still happy not having a lot of money.
