EU stocks are expected to open higher on Monday in line with the performance of the Asian stocks overnight in other words as Asia-Pacific markets rose in value.
The annual inflation rate for the United States is 8.5% for the 12 months ended July 2022 after rising 9.1% previously — the most since November 1981, according to U.S. Labor Department data published Aug. 10. The August data is set to be released Tuesday, and the global markets are excited to see where it stands.
Fed Chair Jerome Powell reiterated last week that he is “strongly committed” to bringing down inflation and to do whatever it takes to bring down inflation which could range from increasing interest rates to hiking them again next month.
