Filling out a money order is a process that takes time and energy, but it’s worth it when you need to send a payment internationally. As long as you have the recipient’s name and iban number, filling out a money order is fairly easy. Here are some things to know when filling out your money order.
- Fill Out  Your Money Order First
A  money order  doesn’t  contain cash – so you can’t just send one in an envelope or through another mail service without going through the proper channels. After purchasing your money order, you’ll need to fold it in half so that the recipient’s name and address are visible on the outside of the money order. - Get the  Filler-Out Slip or Envelope
MoneyGram will provide you with an envelope or filler-out slip if you ask for one when you purchase your money order. This slip is there to make sure that your money order is sent properly; since it costs more to mail a money order than blank paper, MoneyGram wants to make sure that you’re paying for their services. If you don’t get this slip at purchase time, either ask for one before sending your money order, or go online and print one at home. - Peel Off the Needle
When you get your filler-out slip, you’ll need to remove the security tab that’s on each side of it. Once this is done, you can start filling out your money order. - Fill Out Your Money Order
When filling out your money order, simply fill out all of the information on the form. Making every bit of it visible will help to ensure that your payment gets sent properly. You can also request an additional money order or additional filler-out slips if you need to. - Send Your Money Order
After filling out your money order, it’s time to send it out. To do so, simply sign the money order over to the recipient. You’ll then need to mail the money order off to the recipient’s desired location at your local Post Office. - Redeem Your Money Order
After the redemption of you money order, you should receive the payment by the mid-month at minimum. If for some reason you don’t receive payment until shortly before the end of the month, make sure to contact MoneyGram about it.
Once you learn how to fill out a money order properly, you’ll be able to send payments abroad easily.
